The fixed wiring of your property must be safe and must meet regulations. Regular testing is important for both reasons.
Building regulations change frequently. You are expected to stay on top of the latest developments, though it’s very likely that they’re not your priority. Flying Sparks engineers know what’s legal and what’s not.
As we carry out electrical testing, we can identify any issues that will not meet current regulations. Our tests will also highlight any potential safety risks, including damage to your installation and unsafe items that you may be unable to identify.
Electrical testing is essential. You must comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). Arranging regular tests on your building’s installation will ensure you meet your obligations.
We’ll work closely with you to create a bespoke testing programme, designed specifically to meet your needs. We will offer advice, information and recommendations as part of this process, to ensure that you keep up to date and can prepare for any changes that are due.
It is essential that all new electrical installations are tested, with a completion certificate issued. You will also want to arrange electrical testing for any new property that you’ve just purchased or have recently moved into. Electrical tests need to be carried out periodically, but it is always important to know where you stand from the very beginning.
We offer complete electrical testing for your fixed wiring, inclusive of visual inspections and full tests, with reports and certificates as required.
Work is carried out with minimal disruption, even during normal working hours. Occasionally, we may require a complete power down, but will arrange for this to take place outside your normal working hours. Out-of-hours work is at your convenience, and will be completed as quickly as possible.
